This is a print of my original sold work named "Montespertoli" where I had been travelling in 2019. The work was made with oil pastels on paper.
Walking around Italian Tuscany, a rich and welcoming area, I wanted to depict it as merry and hot. For this purpose I chose oil pastels that create such a vibrant and living picture plus warm gouache underpainting to fill the whole work with sunshine. I literally can hear the grasshoppers chirping and the soil smells musky in motionless air.
Will work perfectly in a warm interior.
